Therapy is a wonderful space to build resilience. Through cultivating awareness of our thoughts, feelings, and sensations, we can break unwanted patterns of avoidance, reactivity, or shutting down. Through replacing judgment with mindfulness and self-criticism with self-compassion, we gain a greater sense of agency. Through understanding ourselves within our biological, social, and historical context, we are reminded of a shared humanity.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, creative, and down-to-earth. Together, we will identify the best tools for helping you build mind-body awareness, process past wounds, and cultivate a more compassionate, authentic sense of self.

The process of therapy is most meaningful when you have a clear understanding of the work being done, and can see how a specific approach aligns with your values and goals. Because there are no one-size-fits-all solutions, ours will be a process of trying and tracking different approaches tailored to your individual needs, keeping the ones that help, and avoiding painful repetition of strategies that don't help. As a result, our work will always be a partnership, proceeding at a mutually agreed upon pace and direction toward clarity, understanding, and change.
My job is to help us pick strategies that are both effective and personally meaningful. I've seen that combination facilitate profound change in people of all ages and backgrounds, in settings including state prisons, outpatient rehabs, and Ivy League schools. Wherever you're at, know that change is possible, and that we'll figure out the process together.

One of my favorite things a patient has said to me is “Thank you for being part of my journey”. That’s what life is to me – a journey we are all on together. What I want for everyone is that they can overcome any barriers they may have so they can tune into their whole selves and live life to its fullest. I use a mixed relational approach pulling from person-centered therapy, existential therapy, DBT and more. I am committed to providing you a safe, sex positive, non-judgmental space for trust and growth to happen. I work with people from all walks of life on issues like anxiety, ADHD, family history, and relationships, etc.
I also have expertise working with college students, international students, and couples after working and training at the University of Rochester counseling center. I have also done training specifically to provide therapy through an anti-racist lens and continue to reflect on my own whiteness.
Are you looking for change? Are you ready to challenge unhelpful thought patterns and uncover your potential? Then give me a call or send an email and we can set up a consultation. Let’s start the conversation.
